Adventure Funding Sheffield

Adventure Funding Sheffield is the public face of the Brian Sellars Trust, a Trust which was set up to help finance young people to take part in a wide range of adventurous, exciting and self-developing activities.

Adventure Funding Sheffield has helped many young people with grants towards challenging and character building activities. The fund is dedicated to helping with self development, mental and physical progression and team work. The Fund believes these to be important traits for the youth of today. Our objectives are to develop self reliance, independence and self confidence in young people and at all times respecting the environment

Activities supported include mountaineering training for leadership purposes, woodcraft and environmental projects, building amenities in third world countries, involvement in local community causes, Scout and Guide Jamborees, Outward Bound courses and other adventurous activities. We consider applications from young people between the ages of 14 and 25 for financial assistance up to the value of 50% of the cost of the activity. However, you must have some connection with the area covered by the fund, which is all of Sheffield 8 and the Bradway area of Sheffield 17, either living, attending an educational establishment or being part of a voluntary organisation based in those areas. However, the Fund, in special cases may consider applications from adjacent areas
